Final Ancillary Product

This is our final version of the magazine advert, we have used a double page spread, this allows us to use the image to its full capability. The writing in the  middle of the advert splits the two characters up which is directly linked to the narrative of the music video. the way that the title fits between the noses of each character and almost follows the curvature is effective and aesthetically pleasing and subtle on the eye. We chose to have two very recognisable brands in where the audience can purchase the song.

Final Digi-pak

This is the final version of our Digi-Pak, the left, back and front cover all link together to form one image, but the use of black and white with colour splits the images and gives them different meanings. You can also see that on the front cover the bottom left third is quarter has faded from colour to black and white, this shows through the journey of the video that starts with him in the right then ends with him in the wrong. The spine will have the missing segment from the front and back cover image to link the two images together, it will also have "Gotye- Somebody That I used To Know " written down it.

Blog update- Changes

Since the group came together we have made changes to the video, we have decided to go against having a narrative throughout the video and have now opted for a secftion of the video to have a performance scene, we have done this in the college's recording studio, this suits the conventions of alternative rock videos where we see the artist or group performing on stage or in a studio.

We called a crisis meeting in our media lesson 30/01/2013, to discuss what we need to do in order to complete our coursework before the deadline on 13/02/2013. We discussed our lack of time management then structured how we would go about tackling the issues we had before.

Narrative theory

This is the video I did for narrative theory in relation to our music video.
I did this video to communicate my ideas visually instead of written on the blog.
